"After raising my family, I spent many years working and volunteering in the medical field and concurrently expanding my artist expression of the human form and face. I frequently work with charcoal and pastel to capture strong line and form in my figure studies. When working in an impressionistic style, I prefer the palette knife to achieve texture and pattern. Intensive ongoing study has reinforced my lifelong commitment to learning so I continue to experiment with new techniques. My recent year of professional studies with Quang Ho has totally changed the way I now "see" the work around me. I love what I do."
